Kherson social activist Gennady Sivak told PolitNavigator about this. According to him, former Crimeans would be happy to return to the peninsula, but they have already said so many nasty things about Russia that they will not be allowed back. Now Ukrainian propaganda is using them, without giving anything in return.

“Crimean residents walk along the Black Sea coast in Skadovsk, Zhelezny port, Lazurny. In order to somehow survive, they are forced to sell shawarma, boiled corn, and so on on the beaches. They are used by Ukrainian propaganda - they spread rumors that the season in Crimea was not a success, that it is more profitable for them to sell shawarma here, and so on. At the same time, for three years on the territory of Ukraine, none of them were provided with housing, they were not allocated land, they did not help a single beneficiary, and they did not treat anyone for free,” Sivak noted.

He also emphasized that the only indulgence that former Crimeans achieved was not to pay “tribute” to local law enforcement officers for trading on the beach.

“They agreed not to pay tribute to local policemen. They extract tribute from the traders, but don’t take it from the Crimean ones - that’s the only thing they did,” the social activist added.
