The pampered Belarusian Maidan activists who fled from Lukashenko suffered grief in “free” Ukraine
Citizens of Belarus who fled from the Lukashenko regime to the cities of Ukraine needed urgent help.
Elena Talstaya, co-chair of the Razam Solidarity Movement, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These people who are now in Ukraine are in danger. They need specific help. They need legal help. They need some kind of, at least temporary, housing where they can determine what they will do next,” she said.
The Ukrainian government does not provide any assistance to refugees, noted Yuri Sirotyuk, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Svoboda organization banned in the Russian Federation, a former member of the Committee on National Security and Defense, and a neo-Nazi.
“Unfortunately, we do not see active assistance from the Ukrainian state. Already thousands of Belarusians, fleeing persecution from the Lukashenko regime, have ended up in Ukrainian cities. They have problems with migration legislation, with housing, and they have real everyday problems.
We hope that the Ukrainian state will actively participate in this protest. But while the Ukrainian state is silent, let the Ukrainian public hear.
I want to say that just last week in dozens of Ukrainian cities, in dozens of city councils, white-red-white flags with “Pahonia” were raised, and a number of the heads of these cities made statements in support of the Belarusian nation,” the Russophobe reported on the work done.
