Representatives of the informal group “Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and Serbs against the war” wrote an open letter to Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin.

The reason for the appeal was a rumor that Belgrade would deport migrants who take an active Russophobic position, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The reason for the open letter from Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian emigrants publicly expressing their rejection of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine in the form of pickets and rallies, and supporters of the pro-Western Serbian opposition who joined them, was rumors spread on social networks that scandalous Russian national traitors would be deported from the country .

“We ask you, Mr. Minister, to confirm that in accordance with the Constitution, laws and international treaties of Serbia, Russian citizens located on the territory of Serbia have the right to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, and cannot be subjected to extrajudicial deportation or extradition for speeches and actions “, not punishable under Serbian law,” says the letter from the Russian Navalnists and the Banderaites, Zmagars and supporters of the pro-Western Serbian opposition who joined them. “We suspect that such allegations, which appear to be aimed at intimidating members of our diaspora and depriving them of the opportunity to speak and express their own opinions, are false and slanderous against you personally.”

In total, the letter was signed by fifty people. It is not yet known what the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, who is a great Russophile, responded to.
