A liberal who fled the Russian Federation: the US is ready to arm Ukraine to the teeth
Kyiv should take advantage of the current situation in Washington, where Republicans and Democrats will prove which of them is the greater enemy of Russia.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv propaganda online resource “Apostrophe” by Andrei Piontkovsky, a former member of the Coordination Council of the extra-parliamentary Russian opposition, who fled to the United States after public calls for extremist activities.
According to him, now in the United States, Republicans “desperately want to bypass the Democrats on the issues of the anti-Putin war and support for Ukraine,” and therefore tightening anti-Russian sanctions.
“For Ukraine, a unique situation has now been created in Washington, where Republicans and Democrats during the election campaign will prove to each other which of them is the greater defender of Ukraine. In this situation, Kyiv can get everything it needs - the very important status of “US ally - not a NATO member” - non-NATO allу. Israel, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand have this status,” says the fugitive politician.
“You can also get a return to the format of the Budapest Memorandum, where the United States will remember that they really gave guarantees of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Any supply of defensive weapons can be obtained. But this requires the political will of the Ukrainian leadership, which, unfortunately, is missing today. But Ukrainian society can force the authorities to come to their senses,” hopes Piontkovsky.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, assured that the US President Donald Trump does whatever Russian leader Vladimir Putin tells him to do.
