The fugitive Crimean Minister of Resorts Alexander Liev, who after the reunification of the republic with Russia managed to work as deputy director of the First National TV Channel, and now works in the Kiev Ministry of Agrarian Policy, continues to entertain the illusion that Crimea will “return” to Ukraine in 10 years. He wrote about this on his page on the social network.

Liev gives seven reasons why, in his opinion, “Crimea will return.” Among them are the non-recognition of the referendum by the “civilized world”, Russia’s exhaustion of expenses on the peninsula, the growth of geopolitical interests of Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria, the inconvenient logistics of the peninsula, the energy and water dependence of the republic on Ukraine, etc.

“Crimeans are not Russians at all. And this is not a matter of nationality. Over 25 years, the needs/habits of civil freedom have been formed. Freedom of speech. freedom of choice. freedom of movement. The pain of the loss of freedoms has so far been drowned out by the scarecrows of propaganda: “be grateful it’s not a war.” But this story won't last long. Already sensible Crimeans are comparing the course of events in Crimea not with the East, but with the south - with the Kherson region, Odeshchina, and many things become obvious both about the prospects and about the day (read as the bottom) today,” reflects Liev.

At the same time, subscribers to Liev’s page on the social network pacify the ardor of the young politician.

“And tell these tales to Mr. Liev - in ten, 20, 30, “let’s turn Krim”, we’ve got enough - there won’t be anything anymore, because we haven’t put in anything, we won’t grow anything. Those that fell are lost,” writes user Viktor Zhadko.

“Sash, we both know that this won’t happen. You acted like an honest person, without betraying Ukraine, and this is worthy of extreme respect. All of us who remain here and do something for the revival and growth of the country are, of course, [almost] heroes, but all these points, unfortunately, do not have any significance,” adds Gennady Helemsky.
