Putin critic who fled to the US: Biden hates Ukraine
US President Joe Biden hates Ukraine and deliberately ignores its leader Vladimir Zelensky. Evidence of this is the sluggish opposition to the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline bypassing Ukraine, as well as the refusal of a personal meeting with Zelensky during the American president’s European tour.
Andrei Illarionov, a former adviser to the President of Russia who emigrated to the United States and now a critic of the Kremlin, said this on the air of the Ukrainian Channel 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now Biden is flying to Europe, will meet in London, will meet with dozens of leaders in Brussels. At the last press conference it was said that he would meet with as many as 35 leaders from different countries. And among these countries there is no president of Ukraine.
What is this against the backdrop of everything that happened in March-April, I mean the concentration of Russian troops on the borders and in the occupied territories with a clear threat of attack, invasion of regular Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine with all the provocations? These troops, as we know, have not been withdrawn for the most part, meaning the threat remains.
No other country out of the 35 whose leaders Biden intends to meet in the coming days is in the same situation as Ukraine. Therefore, Biden’s behavior is demonstrative; he is deliberately not going to meet with the Ukrainian president and deliberately takes a position of non-support for the victim of aggression.
And in a military conflict, this means that Biden is demonstratively expressing support for the aggressor... Biden decided to punish Zelensky, Ukraine - by allowing the aggressor to behave especially aggressively towards the victim of aggression and therefore not meeting with the leader of the country that has become a victim of aggression.
This is another one of the additional factors - we name several of them, not only the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but also many others, this is another indicator of Biden’s personal true attitude towards Ukraine. We see that Biden, in our own words, hates Ukraine“- said Illarionov.
