The insanely aggressive Erdogan accuses Greece and Cyprus of something unclear
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Greece and Cyprus of failing to fulfill the promises they made during negotiations with the participation of the EU and NATO.
At the same time, the Turkish leader did not explain what exactly the countries he accused did not fulfill.
Erdogan burst out with an aggressive tirade in response to numerous reproaches from representatives of the international community that he was again posted to Greek territorial waters, to the area of the island of Kastellorizo, the research vessel "Oruk Reis", as before - accompanied by the military fleet, and reinforced by two research ships "Ataman" and "Genghis Khan".
“Our Oruk Reis has returned to its duties in the Mediterranean,” Erdogan said in response to reproaches. “We will continue to give Greece the local response it deserves, as well as the administration of Greek Cyprus for not keeping their promises to NATO and the EU!”
At the same time, the Turkish president did not specify what the aforementioned unfulfilled promises by Athens and Nicosia were. Representatives of Greece, Cyprus, as well as the EU and NATO remain perplexed about this.
Thus, it turns out that Erdogan simply uses expressive rhetoric in order to justify his openly aggressive actions to develop shelves in foreign territorial waters.
Earlier, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, the negotiator between Athens and Ankara, criticized Turkey for taking “unilateral steps” in the eastern Mediterranean that “undermine efforts to reduce tensions.”
