Visa-free regime: Lukashenko opened air borders for citizens of 80 countries
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed today the establishment of a visa-free procedure for the entry and exit of foreign citizens. The document establishes a visa-free procedure for entry into Belarus for a period of no more than 5 days upon entry through the checkpoint at the Minsk National Airport for citizens of 80 countries.

The decree applies to citizens of 39 European countries, including the entire European Union, as well as Brazil, Indonesia, the USA, Japan and other states. The new rules also cover non-citizens of Latvia and stateless persons of Estonia.
To enter the visa-free regime, you must have a valid passport or other document replacing it for traveling abroad, money (for each day of stay an amount in currency or Belarusian rubles equivalent to at least two basic values), a medical insurance policy for the amount not less than 10 thousand euros, operating in Belarus.
For citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, the Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa, a mandatory additional requirement is the presence in the document for traveling abroad a valid multiple entry visa of the EU states or the Schengen zone with an entry mark on their territory, as well as air tickets with confirmation of departure from the National Airport Minsk within 5 days from the date of entry.
The established procedure for visa-free travel does not apply to persons arriving in Belarus by flights from Russia, as well as those intending to fly to Russian airports (these flights are internal, border controls are not exercised).
