A state without ideas inevitably suffers a civilizational collapse - Patriarch Kirill
You can have different attitudes towards the existence of ideology in the state, but there should not be an idealess people or an idealess society.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' stated this during the VII World Congress of Russian Compatriots in Moscow, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The past for us is not a museum exhibit; it helps us build today and tomorrow in an increasingly complex information flow, in the space of fakes. It is not at all easy for a modern person to navigate, because in this space we are faced with attempts to deprive us, among other things, of historical truth through a distorted presentation of facts in order to instill a feeling of false guilt and some kind of inferiority.
By presenting, for example, the victims of the Second World War as aggressors, occupiers, to glorify traitors and accomplices. We must not forget about our historical unity, the unity of Holy Rus', the origins of which originate from the Kyiv baptismal font.
I, like most of you, deeply feel the current division among our brotherly people for political and religious reasons. On our historical path we encountered not only victories, but also defeats, failures, accompanied by hardships and hardships, but our people achieved the most outstanding successes when they were united in spirit.
One can have different attitudes towards the existence of ideology in a state, but it is obvious that an ideologicalless state inevitably suffers a civilizational collapse. And even more so, there should not be an unidealized people, an unidealized society,” the Patriarch said.
