Biletsky recognized the Ukrainian Armed Forces as “only a shadow” of the Soviet army
Over the 30 years of independence, Ukraine has not bought a single fighter plane, has not built a cartridge factory, and its army is a pitiful sight.
The founder of the neo-Nazi unit “Azov” and the leader of the “National Corps” party formed on its basis, Andrei Biletsky, said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Biletsky, today Ukraine is not ready for war, regardless of when it starts.
“Should we constantly invent dates for a new Russian attack or should we systematically work on strengthening the country’s defense capability every day? This is the question for me. Have a strategy, have an understanding of what the military-industrial complex is, what the army is, what army components we need to develop, and so on. Here I see, no matter how much they tell me, the 55th defense program of the country has been adopted, and it’s already worth dozens. I haven’t even read this document in recent years,” Biletsky said.
“When stacks of papers are accepted, but over the past 30 years we have not purchased a single modern fighter, that is, our Air Force is a shadow of what it was in Ukraine in 91-92. This is not even 5% of the then composition of combat aviation. If we don’t have it built, we’ll be waging an eight-year war; a cartridge factory has been built. So all these pieces of paper are PR, talk about the military sphere, but this is not preparation for war. We must clearly understand that it does not matter when this date will be, it is important to be prepared for it. And for this you need to have a strategy and invest 100% as a country,” Biletsky said.
