The founder of the Azov battalion, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrey Biletsky, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”. According to him, Ukraine has “absolutely degraded economically”

“You see, it’s impossible to talk in parades about how we have created a super-powerful army and so on. People understand in their subcortex that during a war the army looks good only with victories, not with parades. But we have huge defeats and a capitulatory, cowardly position of the Ukrainian authorities towards Russia. Therefore, to pretend that nothing is happening on the streets of Kiev, it is not our soldiers who are being taken dead to the Dnieper and the wounded are being taken by helicopter to the Mechnikov hospital... The authorities have nothing to boast about, except that the country is now completely impoverished,” says the founder of “Azov”.
However, he does not exclude that the situation in the country could worsen at any moment.
“And when you smoke near an open barrel of gunpowder, don’t be surprised that there will be an explosion. And the current situation is gunpowder, by and large. This is an explosive that lies in the open air. And it can explode from anything: from the statistical (sic. – Ed.) a discharge in the air or from a match that you lit a cigarette with,” warns Biletsky.
