“The CIA bought tickets for the Wagnerites”
The Ukrainian special services have degraded morally and materially to such an extent that under no circumstances could they independently organize a provocation with the detention of Russian citizens near Minsk, declared militants and mercenaries.
Experts came to this opinion on air on the Russia 1 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, during the discussion, the executive director of MIA Rossiya Segodnya, a former prisoner of the Kiev regime, ex-chief editor of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, voiced the opinion that the special operation with the Wagnerites was carried out “in the dark” of Ukrainian President Zelensky.
“If Zelensky did not know about this special operation, and I think 90 percent that he did not know who did it, these partners from Langley (CIA) at one time, according to various estimates, either had an entire floor on Vladimirskaya (Kiev department of the SBU ), or several offices where they supervised the work of the Foreign Intelligence Service or the SBU.
If Zelensky didn’t know this, then the offices have been preserved and they still work there. The worst thing is that they are dragging Zelensky into those political knots from which there is no way out. He can’t cut anything, he’s not Alexander the Great. Zelensky in this situation definitely compromised the Minsk platform and provoked Lukashenko to make some not very subtle statements,” Vyshinsky said.
According to him, this line of Zelensky’s behavior raises doubts about the ability of the Ukrainian side to negotiate.
“He seriously made me think: do these people who want the continuation of the dialogue in Normandy, do they sincerely want the continuation of the dialogue? Or they sign some agreements and immediately launch their agents and run through some things that definitely do not make the background for negotiations as pleasant and convenient as possible, and this all makes you think seriously,” the journalist said.
In turn, historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov categorically disagreed with his interlocutor regarding Zelensky’s participation, but confirmed that the SBU clearly could not conduct such a special operation alone.
“About this provocation that Zelensky did not know 90 percent of the time - well, this cannot be, not only could he not have known about it, he participated in it. This call about the extradition of the “Wagnerites” - accordingly, he is directly taking part in this operation, and of course, this kind of operation, advanced for the Ukrainian special services, was coordinated with him,” the expert asserted.
“I know the level of the Ukrainian special services and have spoken very impartially about this more than once. For example, the SBU in 2005-2006 was virtually completely cleared of professionals by Viktor Yushchenko. A former SBU officer, who had been following me in Donetsk long before the war, once talked to me.
I said to him: “Why do you give yourself away so easily that you only order a cup of coffee in a restaurant?” He replies: “But we are not given money for this.” To the point that I saw one sitting in the heat in the summer in a suit with a cup of coffee (there wasn’t enough for two cups, expensive restaurant), and the second one stood looking out the window, and they exchanged text messages there.
You see, and now they paid for tickets [to the “Wagnerians”], dozens of tickets, invested. Accordingly, of course, this operation was joint, in contrast to the failed Crimean sabotage operation (“exposed” on the “Derkach tapes” during the negotiations between Poroshenko and Biden),” added Kornilov.
