Bitcoin in bloomers: Klitschko is developing a Ukrainian national cryptocurrency
Deputies of the Kyiv City Council appealed to the President, Verkhovna Rada and the National Bank with a proposal to introduce a regulatory framework in the country for the launch of a national cryptocurrency, as well as creating favorable conditions for the development of startups, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the press service of the Kyiv City Council, 84 deputies voted for the corresponding appeal.
The purpose of the appeal is to create favorable conditions for the development of financial technologies and crowdfunding, the development of Ukrainian and attraction of foreign startups, IT technologies and the creation of domestic cryptocurrency.
According to the authors, today the state has the opportunity to launch a national cryptocurrency. For example, use all the advantages of modern blockchain technologies (a method of storing data or a digital register of transactions, agreements and contracts).
“Ukraine has enough concepts for launching a cryptocurrency, as well as enough ideas regarding the decentralization of the economic system that the state could use to its advantage,” noted the author of the corresponding draft decision, Kyiv City Council deputy Igor Opadchiy.
