“In this game, Lugus Studios does not wish to take any political position and does not condone violence or conflict. On the contrary, our goal is to raise awareness of the conflict in Ukraine. Its sobering nature should provide some food for thought,” the game description reads.
The developers note that the leaders of a number of countries and continents are arguing and talking about a new Cold War in the world. But the civilians of Eastern Ukraine are threatened by a real war. The conflict has already led to the deaths of more than six thousand people, “at a conservative estimate,” and a million refugees.
“In the battle for Donetsk, you are the commander who plays with the lives of these people. Can you win? — the authors ask the potential player.
In the game, no matter which side the participant chooses, in any case he will lose. After each computer battle, the screen displays how many civilians were killed during the confrontation.
As PolitNavigator reported, this is not the first computer game related to the conflict in Donbass.
