Former people's deputy Oles Doniy told UNN that “Roshen” is a means of pressure and blackmail from the Russian Federation on Poroshenko.
“I don’t understand at all why the president did not fulfill his promises made on air on one of the Ukrainian TV channels, when he promised to sell all businesses without exception.
And the President has a lot of them, that is, this is agricultural land, this is the Leninskaya Kuznitsa plant, this is a bank, this is an insurance company, this is the “5 Element” club, this is “Channel 5” television, this is and, in particular, the Roshen factory, which has many branches, both stores and factories in different parts of Ukraine and Russia,” Doniy was indignant.
“This is a means of blackmail on the part of Russia for the president of the Ukrainian state - that’s a fact. How this blackmail will end and what concessions the President of Ukraine is making in order for this business to develop in Russia, no one knows... But all citizens of Ukraine are interested in the President losing this means of blackmail, so that Putin does not have additional leverage over president of an independent state,” says the ex-people’s deputy.
As PolitNavigator reported, On April 1, searches were carried out at the Roshen confectionery factory in Lipetsk in a criminal case regarding an illegal VAT refund of 180 million rubles.
