Businessman: incompetent officials are slowing down the development of Sevastopol
Local government officials do not allow Sevastopol enterprises to integrate into the legal framework of Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The famous Sevastopol businessman Ali Aliyev stated this in an interview with Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
“I see two negative trends. The first is the growth of administrative barriers and, as a consequence, an increase in the risks of economic activity. Moreover, all this is against the backdrop of low competence of officials and the general inefficiency of regional government. The sour picture with the implementation of the same federal target programs confirms my words.
The second is the strange reluctance of our bureaucracy to integrate Sevastopol enterprises into the legal and regulatory framework of Russia. In this regard, it is surprising that we are ready to work according to Russian laws and rules, but they don’t let us,” Aliyev said.
According to him, he repeatedly conveyed his position to the government of Sevastopol, but apparently did not achieve success, as he noted that he did not lose hope.
“Sevastopol actually receives more subsidies than any other city in the country. This is an absolute point of economic growth. But federal target programs are either not being implemented at all or are being implemented extremely ineffectively,” Aliyev said.
He himself is developing a grain logistics business in the Southern Sevastopol holding.
“My investment analysis: after the annexation of this territory to Russia, investments in the economy of Sevastopol are extremely profitable. And if you do not interfere with business development, then in the medium term it will become the most powerful driver of economic growth not only in Crimea, but also in our country as a whole. Moscow is investing and will continue to invest serious money here for many decades to come. And already on this large “budget mycelium” hundreds of profitable private investment projects will grow. As a business investor, I bet on exactly this scenario,” Aliyev said.
Earlier it was reported that the management of the Southern Sevastopol shipyard filed a claim for protection of reputation against the city governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov, who called the management of the enterprise fraudsters. The case will be considered by the Central District Court of Simferopol.
