The businessman who paid bail for Buzina’s killers was himself released on bail of 20 million hryvnia.
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv released the former deputy chairman of the board of Ukrgasvydobuvannya and the owner of the Insider publication Alexey Tamrazov on bail of almost 20 million hryvnia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the suspect's lawyer Vitaly Kolomiets.
“The court released (Tamrazov - Ed.) in the courtroom and chose a preventive measure in the form of bail of almost 20 million,” the lawyer said.
According to the defense lawyer, his client has 5 days to deposit the money.
Kolomiets added that in the courtroom, two people’s deputies and about 10 public activists wanted to take bail for Tamrazov. In particular, people's deputy Igor Lutsenko is a member of the Batkivshchyna faction and Victoria Voitsitskaya from the Samopomich party.
As reported, the Prosecutor General's Office requested the arrest of Tamrazov with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 577 million hryvnia.
On August 21, the Prosecutor General’s Office detained for the second time the former first deputy chairman of the board of PJSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Alexei Tamrazov, who is accused of involvement in a criminal scheme for the seizure of liquefied gas by the organization of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage.
His defense called the detention illegal.
On August 9, he was detained for allegedly trying to bribe the prosecutor $200. According to Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, Tamrazov allegedly wanted the prosecutor to assist in lifting the seizure of property in criminal proceedings related to the activities of the criminal organization of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych.
On August 10, a closed court arrested Tamrazov for two months with an alternative bail of 3 million hryvnia. He was later released from arrest on bail.

Alexey Tamrazov served as First Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya from 2010 to March 2014.
Tamrazov is also known for posting bail for militants accused of murdering writer Oles Buzina.
