The communications of Ukrainian border guards have become more secure - now their conversations will only be listened to in the USA
Petro Poroshenko handed over to border guards modern means of secure radio communications from the United States worth $21 million.

“I am pleased today to participate in the presentation of modern, highly effective equipment to border guards that we received from our partners - the United States of America. These are military radio communications equipment of various types manufactured by Harris with a total cost of more than 21 million US dollars. This is almost half a billion hryvnia,” Poroshenko said.
He noted that this technology will significantly increase the efficiency of border guards’ actions and the effectiveness of the protection and defense of the state border.
“It will make it possible to organize secure telephone communications between units of the Border Guard Service and significantly improve interaction with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It will make it possible to more effectively counter the aggressor’s electronic warfare means, and we are very grateful to our partners, the United States of America, for this help and for this support,” the Ukrainian president noted.
