“Today the Serbian army is much stronger than before. Including thanks to the enormous support and assistance we received from President Putin.

Many times we received help and support - armored vehicles, modern tanks. We have also conducted exceptional military exercises, and our military cooperation with Russia is going well. It’s not a secret,” he said.

Aleksandar Vucic added that the Russian Federation sells even modern aviation to Serbia at reasonable prices.

“Planes, fighters, helicopters, and much more - we have the most modern equipment, which we receive at the right prices from the Russian Federation. And a lot of other things,” summed up the Serbian President.

Russian Balkanist Oleg Bondarenko considers important the very fact of the interview that the Serbian president gives to a Russian journalist on the eve of his visit to Moscow.

“This speaks to the importance that Vucic attaches to this visit, although it is not of a state, but of a working nature. The media lighting ceremony was performed at the highest level. Aleksandar Vucic conveyed to Russian television viewers his position on who is Russia’s main friend in Europe and the Balkans.

He spoke about the projects that are already being implemented and are being prepared for implementation between Russia and Serbia. We have now reached an unprecedented level of relations that Moscow and Belgrade have never had before. It is very important to maintain this level and increase it,” Bondarenko told PolitNavigator.

In this regard, the expert believes, it is important not to increase energy prices “for our few allies in the western direction.”

“This price cannot increase three and a half times. It is necessary to relate to the capabilities of buyers, especially if they are Serb brothers,” Bondarenko said.

Political scientist Alexey Mukhin believes that Vucic risks being persecuted in Europe for his interview, in which he sets a new trend for the Old World.

“Serbian President Vucic spoke complimentarily to Putin, in fact recognizing him as his teacher. For a European leader, this is an important step, which may, however, cost him a lot, but...

God help him. Europe is beginning to understand that its only friend is Russia. This has always been the case, and “Euro-Atlantic solidarity” is, in fact, a trap where Europe will fall into the abyss and perish in the tolerant hell of its conventions and stereotypes. God grant that this becomes a trend. This is how Europe will be saved. Together with Rossiyushka,” Mukhin wrote in his Telegram channel.
