This is reported on official OSCE page on the social network Facebook, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today Vodafone has resumed providing mobile communication services to residents of non-government-controlled areas of the Luhansk region.
The mobile operator's network was down for more than a week, leaving many local residents cut off from friends and family, as well as services on the other side of the contact line.
The restoration of communications became possible after repair work was carried out on the contact line with the assistance and monitoring of the OSCE SMM. The work continued for three days near Vesela Gora in the north of the Lugansk region,” the report says.
This information was also confirmed by the Ministry of Communications of the LPR, emphasizing that the repair work was completed exclusively by the republic’s signalmen.
“The connection of the Ukrainian mobile operator Vodafone on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic was restored exclusively by specialists from the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the LPR,” stated the press service of the ministry.
