Yesterday, believers of the Uniate Church, including right-wing radicals and ATO participants in camouflage, walked through the streets of Lviv in a prayer procession. The route of the laity ran from the Church of St. Michael the Archangel to the monument to Metropolitan Andrey on the square in front of the Cathedral of St. George. During the prayer procession, its participants carried the Miraculous Icon of the Terebovlya Mother of God.

The event was organized to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Uniate Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky, who collaborated with the Nazis. During the procession, participants prayed on rosaries for peace and God's wisdom for the Ukrainian people and their guides. The procession was led by His Grace Bishop Benedict, auxiliary bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese of the UGCC.
Let us remember that the UGCC is the only Ukrainian denomination that openly blesses the current war and instructs its parishioners to kill the “Russian occupiers.” And the undoubted authority of the Uniates, the former Metropolitan Lubomir Huzar, “became famous” for his statements that the current crisis and the war, which has claimed thousands of lives, is “God’s grace.”
