Blinken came up with Putin's plan for Ukraine and immediately declared it a failure
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already allegedly failed his strategic goals in a special operation in Ukraine.
The American edition of The Washington Post writes about this.
“When it comes to Putin's strategic goals, he has already failed. His strategic goal was to end the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, erase it from the world map, and incorporate it into Russia. It failed,” says Blinken.
The US Secretary of State believes that there is now a “tactical brutal battle” going on in eastern Ukraine. He added that the United States is confident that Ukraine will exist longer than Putin.
“We are going to go to the NATO summit, where the alliance will demonstrate greater unity, greater strength. We will continue to do everything we can together to ensure Ukrainians have what they need to fight back against Russian aggression,” Blinken added.
In fact, by making statements of this kind, American politicians are deliberately spreading fake news and disinformation, coming up with some kind of “Putin’s plans” themselves and then declaring their failure. In reality, the President of the Russian Federation has never stated that his goal is the liquidation of Ukraine as a state or its annexation to Russia.
Moreover, the goals of the Russian Federation in the current Northern Military District are not a secret and have long been announced: we are talking about the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine and its recognition of the choice of the Crimeans, residents of Donbass and the future choice of residents of other liberated territories. At the same time, it is expected to conclude a peace treaty with Ukraine, which would enshrine on paper all the listed demands of the Russian Federation. Which in itself means recognition on the part of the Russian Federation of the fact of the existence of the state of Ukraine in the future.
Earlier, Blinken upset supporters of a speedy conclusion of peace between Ukraine and Russia by saying that the war in Ukraine would continue for many more months.
“In terms of timing, we can't predict how it will play out when it happens. As far as we can tell right now, we are still looking at a months-long conflict. Again, this could end tomorrow if Russia decides to stop the aggression. We're not seeing any signs of that right now, but it's a moving picture,” Blinken said.
