According to Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Chaly, the next two weeks will be decisive in finding ways out of the critical situation in eastern Ukraine.
“It is important that this (Poroshenko’s meeting - Ed.) is a multilateral format. And we are grateful to the European side, the European Union for such support... this gives us the opportunity to strengthen the position of Ukraine. Today, rather, solutions are negotiated, diplomatic, reducing sacrifices,” Chaly said.
“I said earlier that it’s a few weeks. I think that the next two weeks will be decisive for understanding the path out of war to peace,” he emphasized.
We would like to remind you that, along with the upcoming high-level meetings in Kiev (August 23 with Chancellor Angela Merkel), Minsk (August 26 – CU-Ukraine-EU) and Brussels (Poroshenko’s visit on August 30), Poroshenko’s visit to the NATO summit in Wales (Newport) is scheduled , September 4-5).
As Navigator reported, earlier the Kremlin and Kiev confirmed the participation of the heads of state in the meeting in Minsk.
