The next six months will decide Poroshenko’s fate
The next six months will be decisive for Petro Poroshenko - it will determine whether the current president will be able to be re-elected for a second term, or repeat the inglorious end of Viktor Yushchenko.
This forecast was published in his blog by the editor of the Ukrainian opposition publication Strana, Igor Guzhva.

“Poroshenko’s main task is to completely clear the political, economic and information space by the end of the year in order to make the result of the future presidential elections controllable. If he fails to do this, then in the spring, given his low rating, the vertical of power will gradually begin to creep apart, and Poroshenko himself will turn into a “lame duck.” Like Yushchenko at the beginning of 2009. Therefore, the stakes this fall will be very high,” says the editor-in-chief.
