Views:On September 26, the birthday of Ukrainian dictator Petro Poroshenko, which coincided with World Contraception Day, I held a one-man picket near the Ukrainian embassy. With this I wanted to draw public attention to the demographic catastrophe in Ukraine. Thanks to Poroshenko, there are fewer and fewer Ukrainian residents every year, and on the contrary, there are a huge number of complaints against him.
There is no point in listing all his crimes. Everyone already knows this. Another thing is interesting: the picket turned out to be a single picket not because there were no people who wanted to support me. On the contrary, there were many who wanted to express their attitude towards the chocolate magnate and take part in my action. However, the Moscow authorities prohibited holding a mass picket in this place due to... narrow sidewalks.
I have already expressed my indignation in an open letter to Sobyanin, and now I want to say something else. Ukrainian trolls love to write about my corruption and connection with the Kremlin. Apparently the connection is bad, because otherwise the event would have been held on a larger scale. After all, Russia, as the same Ukrainian commentators claim, does not skimp on propaganda. And so: I stood up, so corrupt and Kremlin, under the Christmas trees and with a poster of my own production - that’s the whole picket.
Did Poroshenko steal or kill less after my action? Hardly. I didn’t even hope that he would hear the timid calls of a Crimean woman who was worried about ordinary Ukrainians. Another goal of my picket was the desire to remind of the suffering of the still fraternal people. We need to be reminded, because people also get used to cruelty, war and violence. I don’t want us, mired in our own problems, to say: “It’s this Ukraine again.”
We must remember that people are still dying in Donbass, that in Ukraine they are killing for dissent, and that this can affect us too. Yes, the format of the action “Poroshenko, save lives!” Don't be a contraceptive! – quite provocative, but, friends, how else can I reach you? What should I do so that the Ukrainian issue ceases to be a routine issue that sets people’s teeth on edge? After all, if we forget how to compassion, we will become the same as him - the contraceptive president. The person whose fault is why Ukrainians don’t want to have children.
What kind of demographic growth can we talk about in a country that is turning into a zone of humanitarian catastrophe? A state in which truth is synonymous with death. Ukraine is becoming empty, poorer and degrading.
After the Moscow prefecture refused to hold a mass picket, I created a petition asking to widen the sidewalks near the Ukrainian embassy. I hope that next time I won’t be able to speak out alone against the murders in Ukraine. People who do not support the “ATO Heroes” exhibition should be able to express their civic position.
