For Strelkov, Boroday, whom he spat upon, is, as it turns out, an old friend and comrade in arms.
Views:Here I recently sorted through my small photographic archive and found three very interesting, never published photos. I made them at the beginning of the year, when I was working on an interview with Alexander Boroday, in which he shared his wonderful memories of his tenure as the first prime minister of the Donetsk People's Republic. There was also room in it for his stories about the difficult relationship with the ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov (Girkin), his former comrade, with whom they met as volunteers back in Transnistria back in 1992, when they fought there together.
For more than 20 years everything was fine between them. Borodai often helped his friend Igor Girkin. For example, he got him a job with the same Konstantin Malofeev, on whose direct instructions Girkin came to Slavyansk.
Igor Ivanovich disliked Alexander Yuryevich after the incident with the odious supply of his Slavic brigade with the call sign Vika-Vika. I already wrote about this episode on the pages of Politnavigator.
Let me remind you that after Strelkov was recalled to Russia, Borodai was tasked with transporting him across the border. According to their agreement, on one August day in the morning, Strelok left the city with a motorcade, and in the afternoon, not far from the Russian border, Boroday was supposed to join him. However, for some unknown reason, Strelkov returns back to Donetsk halfway and learns about the arrest of Wiki-Viki of the DPR MGB. In response to this, he raises an armed rebellion in Donetsk demanding the release of a corrupt woman, whom he considers an honest person and unjustly arrested. General Antyufeyev, Alexander Zakharchenko, who had just been appointed Prime Minister, and Borodai himself arrive at the scene of the riot in order to somehow peacefully resolve the situation.
Even before Borodai’s arrival, Zakharchenko promised Strelok to release Vika-Vika, who might be allowed to leave for Russia in Borodai’s motorcade. But Borodai refused this happiness. This was the reason why his longtime friend Igor Girkin suddenly appeared out of nowhere against him.
So, at the end of this week, on October 10, the founding congress of the Union of Donbass Volunteers will take place in Moscow, which with almost one hundred percent probability will elect Alexander Borodai as its chairman.
I have no doubt that Igor Ivanovich at this very time, commenting on this event, will tell everyone what kind of shit this same Borodai is. Therefore, these photos will become a reminder of the insincerity of Strelkov, who not so long ago had a completely different attitude towards the ex-Prime Minister of the DPR.
While working on the interview that I mentioned above, Borodai gave me the opportunity to photograph the dedicatory inscription that Strelkov left on the book of his authorship, “Detective of Kaldiborn Castle,” that was given to him. Strelkov, by the way, if anyone didn’t know or forgot, we’re also a storyteller. The following was written in the book by Igor Ivanovich’s hand.
“I give a message to Alexander Yuryevich, an old friend and comrade in arms, from the author on his birthday. 17.12.2013/XNUMX/XNUMX.”
