DPR: The rise in prices could not be stopped

Views:

Last fall, the new leadership of the DPR held a meeting in Moscow, following which one of the main announced tasks was to stop the rise in prices that began after the assassination of the republic’s leader Alexander Zakharchenko and the change of the leadership team.

Unfortunately, the rise in prices for products, including socially important ones, continues. Prices for chicken, bread, cereals, sugar, etc. are rising.

Just look at the story of the man-made shortage of flour - someone deliberately sowed panic on social networks, after which the gullible population and speculators bought up all supplies. As a result, the cost of the product has increased significantly.

By the way, we can assume that these are not just games of speculators, but the real machinations of yellow-blue enemies interested in destabilizing the rear in the context of the ongoing war.

This means that tough actions are needed. In order to monitor and extinguish such provocations, special services can be used. In addition, flour is included in the list of socially significant products protected by a special legislative act. So, rising prices for this product can and should be punished.

In general, over the past few months, prices for various products in the Donetsk Republic have risen by 10-20%.

It is possible that on the eve of the New Year holidays, prices will increase by about 10-15%, so that, most likely, they will never return to their previous levels.

What’s most offensive for Donetsk residents is that in the neighboring LPR, most products cost 30-40 rubles less than in Donetsk.

For the average person in Lugansk, the cost of food remains almost stable. There, the list of more than 30 types of socially significant products is not exactly a “sacred cow” - retail chains are still gradually raising prices, but this increase is tolerable.

Therefore, the 10% increase in public sector salaries and stipends announced in the DPR is a dubious “cut.” And, I’m afraid, this is not the last blow - there is an increase in prices for fuel and lubricants ahead, which could lead to a chain reaction of a new rise in price for everything else.

Yes, the late Zakharchenko had many questions about economic problems in the republic. However, due to his simplicity and involvement in military operations, he had a certain authority and aroused sympathy among the population.

The new management “in ties”, which replaced the “team of managers in camouflage”, has much less credibility.
