Phoenix – Kramatorsk motorized infantry fighter
Views:During the war in Novorossiya, I met a lot of brave or even recklessly brave people, but I have rarely seen such a motivated, ruthless and courageous militia as “Phoenix”. Unfortunately, it is impossible to post his photo, since his relatives are located in the territory occupied by the junta, who could easily become victims of repression by the Ukrainian “knights”.
“Phoenix” from Kharkov was never interested in politics, but after representatives of the “Right Sector” stabbed his friend to death, he suddenly drew attention to what was happening in the country. Moreover, it was so serious that even in Kharkov he managed to eliminate five PS militants.
Then “Phoenix” went to Donbass, where it took part in the very first events in Kramatorsk - when people marched with sticks against the armor and burned trolleybuses to stop the scoundrels. Although, at that time, the Ukrainian soldiers had not yet managed to turn into punitive forces, and “Phoenix” boasted that he had taken away the firing pins from the three, without which the machine gun simply turns into a piece of metal.
When the war began in earnest, he was on the first line - we were there together, since he was the commander of my squad. His main sadness was that he was still useless. This man was most afraid of being left out of the real fighting, but this, of course, did not happen.
The first serious “mix” was the situation when the punitive forces dropped several “packages” (cargo by parachute) for their troops. That day I had to interact with the famous “Black Hundred” and “Dingo”. Unfortunately, technical problems with communication led to our squad almost missing the enemy. Until the last moment, the fighters thought that militiamen were standing in front of them next to the armored personnel carrier, and not punitive forces. And when the order came to open fire, they almost safely jumped into the armor and were like that. Two people were wounded that day, but an armored personnel carrier could potentially be captured.
Together with the Phoenix, we crawled out from under fire when KPVT, snipers and mortars hit us near the Kramatorsk airport. They crawled for a long time, but, most importantly, they came out safe and sound. This was our last meeting. A few days later, my superiors sent me off to do other things, and I never saw Phoenix again. I hope that he is alive, although it is very likely that he died near Yampol - this is what the rest of the Kramatorsk motorized infantry say.
Be that as it may, I remember this fighter and am proud that I had to fight alongside him.
Thank you!
