Mobilization of the DPR: See you in Kyiv

Do you know why Donetsk has been shelled so fiercely and consistently for the last two weeks, despite the suppression of a huge number (up to 50 percent) of artillery batteries of Ukrainian troops by the DPR artillery? It's simple - there is no strength to push them out to Krasnoarmeysk and Volnovakha. After all, the army of militias, together with volunteers from Russia, Ukraine and other countries, recruits a maximum of forty to forty-five thousand fighters. With 50-60 thousand Ukrainians, this is not enough. That is, it is enough for operational victories, in order to create the Ilovaisk or Debaltsevo cauldron, to defeat the enemy in a short-lived battle, as Suvorov beat the Turks, who were 5-10 times more numerous than his troops, but this is not enough to be able to advance on several fronts at once. Therefore, there are enough troops and equipment in Debaltsevo, but not in Peski and Avdeevka, in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In order to turn the situation around, the DPR leadership intends to announce a general mobilization in 10 days. The head of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, announced this on February 2. According to him, this step will allow the DPR armed forces to receive up to 100 thousand bayonets. Most of them will be sent, presumably, to training centers, where they will study military affairs for 4-6 weeks. And the first wave of conscripts, according to Zakharchenko, will make it possible to form 5 new motorized rifle brigades by spring. Such a step will not only free up troops for defense in such problem areas as those that have emerged today near Popasnaya, but also in the fields behind Velikonovoselkovka, Krasnoarmeysk and near Konstantinovka, which in the coming months will almost certainly come under the control of DPR troops.

Today there is an urgent need for a large number of artillery personnel and tank crews. Donetsk and Luhansk residents have already accumulated so much equipment from the hands of Washington’s proteges who surrendered or were defeated by troops that they simply do not have enough specialists. According to informed sources in the DPR Ministry of Defense, artillery and tank “training” will make it possible to solve the problem of personnel in the troops in six months.

It is interesting that the mobilization, although general, is designed for the fact that the fighters of the first cohort will be taken from among those volunteers who could not exercise their right to defend the Fatherland in the previous year - there were no instructors, equipped training centers, weapons, finally. Now there is all this in abundance.

As for forced mobilization, let us recall that it has existed in our country since the time of Peter the Great. There are a number of qualifications that limit mobilization - age, physical, educational. If we take them into account, then after a wave of volunteers of approximately 10-15 thousand, the second wave of those called up for military service will amount to 30-40 thousand, that is, by the summer four or five divisions will be added to the DPR army at once. Thus, the army will simply double. And after this, it will be useless for the Ukrainian authorities to try to build some kind of “unity” with armed force.

The troops have already positively assessed Alexander Zakharchenko’s statement. “We didn’t have enough troops in defense, but we’ll soon go on the offensive, this is where we’ll need reinforcements,” said an officer from one of the units on the front line fighting in the Sands, “after all, it’s unknown what losses we will face in the battles for honor, freedom and independence our Donetsk Motherland."
