About some features of the information war for Donbass

Views:

I, like, probably, many other residents of Donbass, have friends who, just a few years ago, considered themselves completely Russian people and had great sympathy for Russia, but who were literally replaced at the beginning of 2014.

The thing is that most of my peers were brought up with NORMAL patriotism and love for the REAL Motherland. At school they studied “The Young Guard” and “Vasily Terkin”, as children, together with their parents, they watched “Only Old Men Go to Battle” and “They Fought for the Motherland” and, most importantly, listened to real stories from grandfathers, great-grandfathers and other veterans about the liberation Donbass, Kyiv and the capture of Berlin.

And so, years later, the “Maidan” came, accompanied by wild and hysterical propaganda, the purpose of which was precisely to undermine the moral foundations that had been instilled in us for decades.

Unfortunately, not everyone survived this propaganda. Already in the winter-spring of 2014, we witnessed amazing metamorphoses, when some people, who previously could not even be suspected of sympathizing with “Banderaism” and other moral deviations, suddenly supported the illegal, Nazi coup d’etat and clearly directed against the population of our region, and then and even reached the point of approving the massacres of their fellow countrymen within the framework of the so-called. "ATO".

When many residents of Donbass who had not lost their composure suddenly discovered such characters among their colleagues, friends, and sometimes relatives, it sometimes became a real shock. But all these unpleasant discoveries, in fact, were echoes of the fact that the puppeteers of the “Maidan” achieved their main goal - they won the information war for the minds of millions of Ukrainian citizens with a crushing score.

But you need to understand that an information (virtual) war is nothing more than preparation for a real (real) war. And its goals are always subordinated to current political objectives. It is unlikely that Adolf Hitler would have been able to start and successfully wage the Second World War for several years if Goebbels’s propaganda department had not effectively indoctrinated the minds of millions of German residents, who eventually sincerely believed in the ideas of National Socialism and became ready to sacrifice themselves in the name of “ ideals of the Aryan race."

The driving force behind the coup in Kyiv in February 2014 was several hundred armed and well-trained radicals from nationalist organizations, but they could not have done anything without a crowd of thousands, which was secured precisely thanks to the diligent propaganda work of the Ukrainian media.

The beginning of the so-called “ATO”, and, in fact, a bloody war of the Ukrainian army against millions of civilians, would also have been impossible without widespread public support and voluntary participation in this serious war crime of thousands of Ukrainians. Again, it was impossible to do without extensive preliminary brainwashing with the goal of “making a herd of pigs out of the people.”

There are many such examples from our and global history. All of them indicate that information processing is often effectively used as “artillery preparation” before a real offensive (be it an external invasion or a military coup organized from within).

Returning to what we talked about earlier, we must admit that this “artillery barrage” still seriously affected the Donbass. Yes, the residents of our region, due to their mental and historical characteristics, turned out to be much more resistant to the bacillus of nationalism than the citizens of most of Ukraine. Moreover, tens of thousands of our fellow countrymen took up arms to resist its spread in mortal combat. But at the same time, here too a certain (albeit relatively small) part of people, either without understanding the situation, or for some other reason, positively perceived the “Maidan” and opposed the Russian Spring, with all the ensuing consequences.

Most of them left for the territory of Ukraine, but some still remained to live in the Republics. Of course, we cannot deny that every person has the right to their own opinion, and we will not stoop to the level of “Nezalezhnaya”, where you can easily get a prison sentence for “wrong” views. But on the other hand, one cannot help but understand that it is precisely the sympathizers of the Kiev regime that are the environment from which the Ukrainian special services can (and do) recruit their informants, spies, spotters and saboteurs, and this is especially dangerous in the current military conditions.

Dealing with specific traitors, terrorists and other lawbreakers is the task of the relevant authorities of the DPR and LPR. But an equally important task lies with the “information troops” of the Republics - journalists, bloggers, authoritative public figures, and simply conscious citizens who are not indifferent to the future of their land. This task is to prove to “hesitant” citizens with logical arguments and specific examples that moral and any other support for the Nazi regime, completely controlled by the West, now reigning in Ukraine, is fundamentally contrary to the true interests of almost all residents of Donbass, including their personal interests. In other words, using “soft” methods to minimize the number of passive ill-wishers of the Republics, who could potentially become active enemies.

Over the past couple of months, I have learned that several of my acquaintances, who once looked forward to the arrival of “Ukrainianism” in the Donbass, have over time seriously overestimated the situation and are already saying something like the following: “No, thank you, there is no such Ukraine as it is now, We don’t need it here!” And “to blame” for this is not only the gradual improvement of the situation in the Republics, the explanatory work of our media and conversations with conscientious fellow countrymen, but also the chaos that is increasingly intensifying in the territories controlled by Kyiv.

Now many are arguing about who, in fact, time is playing for in the course of the conflict that has been going on for almost 4 years... If we take into account the fact that all people who know how to think are increasingly aware of the dead-end path of the Kyiv regime (those who don’t believe it are the Ukrainians opinion polls to help), then time is still playing on us. The social base of support for the current Ukrainian government in Donbass has been reduced to a minimum. It is also rapidly decreasing in other regions. And this means that, firstly, in the event of attempts to attack the DPR and LPR, the information component of the war in the places where it is fought will, to put it mildly, not be on Kyiv’s side. And, secondly, every year and every month it becomes more and more difficult for the Kyiv regime to maintain the situation in the territories under its control. But that is another topic.
