Shelling of Mariupol: Why I don’t trust the OSCE and Kyiv
Views:Mariupol suffered a tragedy: dozens of dead, more than a hundred wounded. Among the victims are old people, women, and children.
The Ukrainian side blames the DPR troops for the incident, declaring the shelling of the city a terrorist act.
OSCE representatives have already published a report where everything is laid out: one shelling was carried out from the north-east, from the territory of the Oktyabr village from the GRAD MLRS. The second shelling came from the east, from the village of “Zaichenko” with the Uragan MLRS. And it was officially announced that the shelling was carried out from the territory controlled by the DPR.
But if you look at the map, the village “October” is 19 km away. from Mariupol, and “Zaichenko” is 15 km away. That is, the militias quietly took GRAD and URAGAN from Novoazovsk, transported them as much as 25-30 kilometers, installed them, received data from a spotter, “hunted” the square, and just as quietly left? And this can be seriously discussed?!
The OSCE is just great. It took them less than 12 hours to reach conclusions that would have taken professional investigative teams a week to reach. They determined the distance and even the locality. They were not embarrassed that the entire territory from Novoazovsk to Mariupol was crammed with Ukrainian military and special services, and reconnaissance planes were constantly patrolling the sky. HAIL and HURRICANE are not a machine gun or a grenade, they are serious and formidable things. It is impossible not to notice serious weapons in a densely populated area with a lot of military personnel. In addition, after launching shells, even at night, reconnaissance aircraft will find these vehicles using their thermal signature. But here everything was during the day, and everything was in full view.
That is, there are many questions to which I would like to hear a more intelligible version, at least a little different in sanity from the OSCE report.
By the way, when GRADs and HURRICANEs poured lead fire into Donetsk from Avdeevka, representatives of the OSCE mission very concernedly recorded the number of deaths and damage caused, but never mentioned where the shell came from or from what settlement.
This looks strange, because many residents of Donetsk could see this picture every day: very beautiful luminous balls soaring into the sky from Avdeevka, one after another. For Donetsk residents, this meant that they had to run like a bullet into the basement, because after 10-12 seconds these lights in the form of terrible projectiles covered the residential area. The residents of Donetsk knew very well where the artillery was hitting them from, but for the OSCE this is a mystery. But in Mariupol they figured everything out perfectly.
Or maybe they know better how things are? Maybe ask them? I wonder if they will answer.
