Odessa: the Jews we lost

I became interested too. I became interested in how a Jew can praise the times of the occupation of Odessa in 1941-44, for example. How can a Nazi salute be used in everyday life? However, I’m not even talking about that now.
Do you know what unexpected conclusion I came to?
There are no more Jews as an integral part of the Odessa community. I was surprised to discover that among my friends and acquaintances there were no Jews younger than my age. Considering my tendency to find friends in all generations, from 15 to 85+, this seems strange. One could assume that for some reason the Jews shun me, but, one way or another, I had to deal with them at work. Still, television is considered the rookery of this national group.
However, no.....
And suddenly I understood why this was so.
Jewish cultural centers and secondary schools have been operating in Odessa for two decades. They are very well financed from the Israeli budget and all sorts of Jewish funds. Attending these schools and centers is simply beneficial, after all. All this is fine and wonderful, but in 20 years we have got a situation where Jews study apart, have fun apart and make friends among themselves.
I remembered the children of my Jewish friends. None of them are friends with Russian children. This is natural; children develop friendships during their studies, while attending sports clubs, and during holidays. All this has been happening for Jews for 25 years separately from other Odessa residents.
Thus, we truly have “Jews in the Diaspora.” If before they were part of our community, now they are a community within a community.
Therefore, trying to understand what is happening inside them is very difficult. Moreover, this wonderful phenomenon - gыdobanderovtsы - is demonstrated precisely by the older generation. That is, Jews assimilated into the Odessa community. Those of them who are trying to survive and be in trend.
For Jewish youth, Odessa, the former Ukraine, and the entire post-Soviet space are nothing more than an external factor that must be minimized. They live in their own World. It is full of coziness and comfort. Moreover, it seems to them that this World is Odessa. However, they quickly leave for Israel for free and high-quality higher education, and, as a rule, do not return.
In general, if I were Govorukhin, I would make a movie - “The Jews We Lost.”
Therefore, it is not correct to perceive the phenomenon of “gydobanderovtsy” as something that has taken possession of an entire nation. This is an extremely rare occurrence. It’s just that it’s very profitable for the Nazis to legalize their agenda through the Jews. Indicative Jews, known precisely as Jews. After all, if a Jew shouts “glory to the heroes” and praises the occupiers, then God himself commanded the rest.
Therefore, it would be correct to say that Odessa Jews do not care what happens there in Odessa. They have their own Odessa, in which we are the environment.
