A trip to politics will end in disaster for Girkin

Views:

So, it seems like our glorious commander Igor Ivanovich is planning to make a career in Russian politics. Apparently he's bored with nothing to do. The Duma elections are approaching. You can try to get there. For this purpose, he probably decided to “build a new party.” This follows from his speech at a round table in the center of Sulakshin.

His party, as we all learned this Thursday, will be in opposition to Putin, whose portrait I personally saw a year ago in his office in the Taganka area. I also remember that Girkin called Putin the supreme commander in chief and assured everyone that he was with the GDP, and that potential Maidan supporters should not count on him. Now everything has changed. Now he is against Putin.

In order not to talk too much about Girkin’s possible political career, let’s ask ourselves: will it be successful? Bearing in mind that Igor Ivanovich (and his fans) sees himself not as an ordinary deputy, but as the new president of Russia (and not just a president, but a president-messiah), I can immediately answer this question like this: for Girkin, going into politics will end in disaster . All Moscow sofa-patriotic drummers and Russian nationalists will be completely disappointed in him. Even such enthusiastic fans as Olshansky, Kholmogorov and Prosvirnin.

I'll explain why.

Firstly, due to his egocentric, absurd, psychopathic, uncooperative character and choleric temperament, he is not capable of any systemic activity. In addition, he personally told me in an interview that he does not like staff work. With such qualities it is impossible to build a normally functioning party. This requires perseverance. And he only has perseverance when he sits and posts on the Internet.

Secondly, with whom will he create this party? With the marginalized Sulakshin? With deputy Fedorov? With veterans of the Slavic Brigade? With whom? Girkin does not have his own team. There are no economists, foreign policy specialists, managers, smart lawyers, and so on. If someone smart appears there, he will quickly run away from Girkin, because Igor Ivanovich is simply physiologically normal with anyone and is not capable of cooperating on equal terms. He's a military man. The commander is a subordinate. Left! One-two. Right! One-two. Step march and that's it. To the basement! Shoot! It is approximately in this simple military paradigm that Strelkov can exist. But in politics you can’t do that.

So, where did Dugin go, with whom he seemed to begin collaborating last summer after the evacuation from the DPR? He's gone. I'm sure they didn't work well. Moreover, given Igor Ivanovich’s tendency to be rude, irritable, incapable of discussion and almost instantly getting personal, if something is not to his liking, then decent people will not stick around with him. He will quarrel with everyone.

Moreover, he has absolutely no understanding of people. Some crooks, scoundrels and swindlers are constantly hanging around him. Just remember the famous thief Vika-Vika, who supplied his brigade. She was arrested by DPR law enforcement agencies. Let me remind you that because of her, Girkin, demanding her release, raised an armed rebellion in Donetsk, no longer being the Minister of Defense.

Here we can recall the head of his counterintelligence Petrovsky-Dubinsky (Khmury), whom the DPR authorities accuse of creating a gang that was engaged in squeezing out Donetsk businessmen. Taking all this into account, such a party will always be accompanied by scandals and revelations.

Thirdly, judging by Girkin’s speech at Sulakshin’s round table, he does not have a coherent and clear program necessary for the party and its leader. The stories that migration will cause fascisation in Russia are nonsense. What kind of migrants? Azerbaijanis, Georgians, Kyrgyz with Tajiks and Armenians? Everyone who wanted to come had already arrived long ago. They are few. Everyone will not leave for Russia. Will they flee to us from Syria and Libya? I doubt. In general, all this cannot be considered a program.

Fourthly. By and large, there is no demand for Girkin in Russian society. What can he offer him to become an alternative to Putin? Liberation of Novorossiya. A noble task. But for Russian society, it is, alas, not the main one. This will not get you into the Kremlin or the Duma. Moreover, the leader of the Russian Reconquista, which began in February 2014, for most Russians is Putin, not Strelkov. The vast majority of Russians are happy with everything about Putin.

Thus, Girkin only has a chance to create his own political force, which will occupy a small niche and engage in round-the-clock populism, whining and demagoguery. But all this will end sadly. He will quarrel with his comrades, and they will eventually expel him from the party. What then? Then oblivion. Possibly alcoholism. I don’t see any more political prospects for him.
