Poroshenko faces danger not only from the Nazis
Views:I don’t think that the main goal was to prevent the opposition from speaking out - no matter how many people come to its actions, the private “media” (and there are no others of a national scale in Ukraine today), they are “not noticed.” It’s just that a number of punitive battalions sponsored by Nalyvaichenko announced their redeployment to Kyiv on the same day in order to look “through the crosshairs” at whoever dared to remove their benefactor. There simply wouldn’t be enough security forces for everyone (they say they even brought construction equipment to the Presidential Administration building in the morning, blocking the approaches as under the “anti-people dictator” Yanukovych). And who knows where the flammable mixture would have detonated from direct contact between fascists and pacifists: the failed event was announced by a certain “Peace and Justice” movement.
As a rule, such names now hide behind either “regionals” who have compromised themselves in the eyes of the whole society, or banned communists. Both forces continue to rhetoric in the paradigm of a united and indivisible Ukraine, which further narrows their electorate (remember the record low voter turnout in the so-called “parliamentary elections” even in those districts where the “Opposition Bloc” won). The mass nature of the event is all the more indicative: it means that an increasing number of citizens are ready to subscribe to the slogans: “Poroshenko resign!”, “Poroshenko out!”, “Impeach the war president!” etc., taken from activists.
Sociology testifies to the general disappointment in just a year since the provincial reseller climbed the Pechersk Hills.
Already in March only 19,2% were ready to vote for Poroshenko (and this does not take into account the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, including in areas controlled by Kiev), while in the “elections” in May he received 54,7% (almost three times times more!). Then - in March, more than twice the rating of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc collapsed from 29,4% in the November “elections” to 13,2%. In just four months! Without taking into account the same Donbass, where, as we know, the “president” is revered even “higher.”
In May, Poroshenko’s rating dropped to 13,6% (already four times even according to the estimates of the grant-eating structure).
Confidence in the BPP fell to 8,3% (the dynamics of the decline are even steeper).
And this is out of only 42% who agreed to go to the polls! That is, the chocolate maker retains leadership only because, in the opinion of those who still believe in Ukraine, there is no one to replace him with.
Let us note that the largest number of votes are given to the BPP by the western regions - the most militant ones (although they are also outraged by the failure to comply with the election rants regarding the salary of punishers at 1000 UAH per day, and the withdrawal of conscripts from the ATO). In other regions, support for the “presidential” force ranges from 8,3% (the central region, including the well-fed Vinnitsa region and parasitic Kyiv) to 3,4% (the east is still Ukraine). And this despite the fact that against the backdrop of Poroshenko’s statements “We will return Donbass and even Crimea” Already 61% of Ukrainian residents (almost two-thirds!) are ready for the secession of Donbass (not to mention Taurida) - as long as the war ends.
So the anti-war banners at the failed march are by no means a stretch of the organizers.
Thank you!
