Admit it, juntas, did you want war?!

Views:

Assessing the cost of goods in stores, tariffs in bills received in the mailbox and checking whether a summons to the army has arrived, the “little Ukrainian”, and now a “revolutionary of dignity”, sometimes begins to think about what was not typical for him before.

As for the revolutionary, of course, I got excited. Revolutionaries (for now) don't think. But they don’t jump anymore. Or maybe they don’t show the view. They don't show it yet. But there are questions, millions of Ukrainian citizens ask themselves. Who was and who was not at the Euromaidan. The main one is: “Why did they throw off Yanyk?”

And really – why? What was the point? After all, how good life was under the “prisoner president”! Eight dollars! Two-room "Khrushchev" - 600 hryvnia, on average, per month. This is without government subsidies. And with subsidies, that’s all three hundred.

By the way, about subsidies. Social benefits were guaranteed by the state and were paid spot-on, day-to-day. Moreover, taking into account 6% inflation, they were indexed four times a year. And pensions and social benefits.

Large families received enormous assistance from the state, which was ruled by regional representatives elected by the majority of voters. 100 hryvnia for each child if the family gave birth to more than three children. And to your health!

Orphans. 60% of orphanages were liquidated during the three years that the Donetsk people were in power. You ask: where? I will answer you: in DDST. Family-type orphanages. That is, if some couple decided that they needed to take in more children and raise many children, then they could adopt from orphanages, and the state would help. I saw these DDST. Of course, it wasn’t easy there, but 60% of creepy orphanages were liquidated between 2010 and 2013!

And I can remember many more things that the “revolution of dignity”, the Euromaidan, stood up against. All this is already in the past and is unlikely to ever return. Years gone by the wind. Now everything is different, and history does not know the subjunctive mood: what would have happened if it had been.

But paper, that is, the Internet, will endure everything. He will also tolerate the fantasy of what options there could be in order to prevent the nightmare that is now unfolding under a territory larger than France.

The first version of alternative history. To prevent a new Maidan, which the pro-American opposition has been pushing Ukraine towards since the 2012 elections. The opposition had not thought about Euromaidan before. A new Maidan was planned for 2015. For the presidential elections, like a repetition of the “Orange Maidan”. But the opposition politicians, who at that time were represented by the “rabbit”, “boxer” and “Fuhrer”, due to their limitations, did not imagine that the war would begin in the fall of 2013. But I don’t know about you, but all my interlocutors already in the summer of 2013 said that the war would begin in the fall.

Why? Because the Party of Regions, having fallen out with the Kremlin (for reasons not important in this note), decided to blackmail it by declaring a course towards European integration and signing an association with the EU. This topic was discussed by all pro-government TV channels and freelancers hired by the regions. Here's me! Stories about how the association is a matter decided by Yanukovych and Azarov did not leave television screens. So the regionals themselves provided a pretext that the opposition, tired of searching for new creatives, clung to. I shouldn't have promised! And now it would be like under Yanyka!

Second alternative. Euromaidan already exists. He stands, but there are two of them: party and non-party. Levochkin and the Boxerfuhrer's rabbit. The first ones are Nayem and company, the second ones are three carcasses and paid titles. On November 28, 2013, when the association was not signed, the opposition announced that it was curtailing the Maidan until better times. They would have returned in 2015, but then Klitschko would have become president, believe it or not! Even intelligent and practical people believed in him. He simply hadn’t opened his mouth yet. Everything turned out differently.

Third alternative. Euromaidan radicalized, tire burning began and the first victims began. Well, here, you know, the government should have used power, and not the way it was. Disperse the rowdies and rebels to hell! That's what they're doing now! And note: their conscience does not torment them! Plant? Yes - plant it! They are now putting one-legged disabled people behind the St. George Ribbon! Troops to Kyiv? Yes - troops to Kyiv! Fire? Yes - shoot! They do all this now, without worrying at all about blood spatters on their tailcoats! And Europe is with them!

Fourth alternative. Well, Yanukovych was smart enough to chicken out and run. So what did he win or play? Never mind! He was afraid to offend some, but threw others to the slaughter. But there are millions of them - these others. Here I am. Okay, he ran away. Well, go to Donetsk, well, announce that there is a coup and rebellion, with the help of the CIA. Call your generals to you... I see. Now both vatniks and dill hate him. I've finished it!

Fifth alternative. The Russian spring has arrived. From Kharkov to Mariupol, “titushki”, “slaves” and “cattle” have risen. Since power is in the hands of the junta, then if Poroshenko says that he is the president of the world, then come talk about peace! Enter into negotiations! Crimean, you say? So he was there! Poroshenko was there - in Crimea, during the beginning of our Crimea! But what kind of trip was it? Whom? Just a gamble. He came to show how brave he is! But the president-convict was negotiating. Vel! But this one didn’t lead. These.

Sixth alternative. Concessions. Donbass is not Ukraine. Other people live there. And Novorossiya, which is larger than Donbass, is not Ukraine. This is clear to everyone who studies history. Why not a federation? Why not the Union? Why not a confederation? A? If only there was no war! Or maybe you wanted war? Admit it, juntas?! Did you want to? Well, that's how you got it! And there is no point in mourning the victims or showing sympathy for refugees from Donbass in Ukraine! You drove them crazy first, and now you’re promoting them!

To summarize, I understand that of all the alternatives, the worst one was chosen. It's not like there's a war. Moreover, the maydauns kindled it, cultivated it and wanted it. But this is not the same war as in revolutionary France in 1792! This is a shameful and dirty war. War of bandits and marauders. It’s not that the Ukrainian economy and the Ukrainian version of capitalism are normal. No – I wasn’t. But a coup and civil war are the worst kind of “perestroika.”

In 1991, older generations agreed to no longer make revolutions that lead to wars and violence, brutality, and ruin. But elders are not listened to these days. And they listen to those who are far away - overseas. Who cares about this people, who were once a victorious people.
