Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass: First results
Views:Three months have passed since the “Humanitarian Program for the Reunification of the People of Donbass” was approved in the LPR. Passions in the Ukrainian segment of social networks and the media have subsided: the wave of vitriol and slander has subsided.
It must be said that the main focus of the criticism was the message: they are luring you into the republic, but you yourself have nothing to eat. Well, who lures with what: some with a visa-free regime against the backdrop of economic hopelessness in refrigerators and utility bills. In this regard, a rhetorical question arises in itself: what is more important for a resident of Novaidar or Lisichansk suffering from cancer?
However, the provisions of the humanitarian program are not limited to the opportunity to receive qualified assistance in medical institutions of the LPR. In principle, it is built on the social responsibility of the state, even if it is unrecognized and self-proclaimed. The second pillar is financial payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The third is guaranteed free higher and secondary technical education.
Do you want numbers? More than a thousand students from Kyiv-controlled territories study at LPR universities free of charge, and 25% of college students come from the same area. 14 veterans of the Great Patriotic War received financial assistance, and this is not a small number, considering how many of them survived. 16 women with complex pathologies successfully gave birth to babies. 630 patients received consultations and treatment at the oncology clinic.
I want to say that dissatisfied grumbling can be heard in the republic: they say, they shoot at us, but we open the gates for the other side, in Ukraine they look at us as enemies, but we smile and bow. This is an absolutely natural reaction of those who are accustomed to returning evil for evil, but do not remember good. There is only one answer to the snake hissing and poisonous bites in the LPR and DPR: we will not be like those who are rapidly destroying the once flourishing and hospitable Ukraine, we have a different policy, and there is someone to defend it.
