Referendum in Great Britain – a recipe for Ukraine
Views:The exchange of prisoners according to the “all for all” formula is one of the primary, most important points of the Minsk agreements, which is being disrupted by Ukraine.
Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces began to be captured by the militia from the first days of the war. They were always given help, despite the fact that they were enemies and came to kill us. There are international standards that prisoners are not tortured. We gave cured and sometimes even fattened Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters to Kyiv.
In response, we received our guys - maimed, tortured, beaten.
The Ukrainian side’s abuse of prisoners is a fact that is recognized by the whole world. Proof of this is the recent scandal with the refusal to allow UN auditors into SBU prisons. Or the outrageous story of the Ukrainian “doctor” who told on camera how he abused captured militiamen.
Now it is very important to return all our people - because we know that they are being abused.
But Ukraine does not want to implement the “all for all” exchange formula. For example, we know exactly in which pre-trial detention center, in which cell a person is sitting. When we announce this to the Ukrainian side, they pretend that such people simply do not exist on the lists. Why is this being done? Kyiv wants to have a “stock” of hostages.
Another trick of Ukraine - instead of soldiers from the army of the South-East, they returned ordinary civilians to us. I conducted surveys and found out where they were captured. They answered: “We were sitting in basements under bombing. After the bombing stopped, the Ukrainian army came in and picked up and took these people away.” Ordinary civilians were made slaves in this game played by the Kiev government.
When exchanging prisoners, the return of foreign volunteers who came to Donbass to defend the young republics is also important. Ukraine, in one of the meetings, tried to raise this issue, declaring that it would only change those who lived in the territory of the former Lugansk and Donetsk regions. But we still demand to change everyone for everyone. That is, all people who were captured during hostilities - they all have the right to be exchanged, without any exceptions.
Yes, there is a risk that the Ukrainians we liberated will eventually find themselves back on the front line. Some of them, at least. This option can only be excluded if the punitive operation is completely stopped - the so-called. ATO, as recently stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Will Kyiv listen to his words?
Another clue for the Kyiv regime could be the results of the referendum in Great Britain. We see an example of “civilized divorce.” And before that there was a plebiscite in Scotland. England offered more powers and the Scots decided to stay
Our situation turned out to be mirrored. The nationalists who seized power in Kyiv, instead of seeking a compromise with Donbass, began a massacre that continues to this day.
I was struck by the words of OSCE Special Representative Heidi Tagliavini at the negotiations in Minsk. When I gave her the example of Britain and asked why Ukraine doesn’t want to hear us, she answered dryly: “Well, that’s us, and that’s you.”
The war in Donbass must be stopped urgently and all hostages released. It’s high time for Western “partners” to influence Kyiv and make it more accommodating. Moreover, a considerable part of the blame for inciting the Ukrainian conflict lies with EU officials.
