"Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Mujahideen!”

Views:

Novoalekseevka station, a glass of tea and an overheard conversation of local taxi drivers who earn money by driving through Sivash. Mostly all of them are from among the Crimean Tatars, whom Russia happily accepted, and Ukraine still does not let go. On the station square, two representatives of this people meet and, with an emphasized eastern accent, like real mountaineers, they shout:

- Glory to Ukraine! – the first greets the second as his dearest friend.

- Glory to the Tatars!

Well, of course, I almost choked, because, in theory, for altering the holy dill motto in my own way, now they can probably go to jail.

The picture of the meeting of two friends continues with the following discovery. The first, speaking about Russian border guards, calls them “shuravi”. If anyone has forgotten, let me remind you: this is what the Afghan Mujahideen called Soviet soldiers who were performing their international duty. So, Afghans still remember our military personnel with respect and disrespect the Americans, who fight not face to face, but with the help of drones “like cowardly jackals.” But those were Afghans, and now two Tatars are standing in front of me, and in the “shuravi” they uttered, a contemptuous tone is clearly heard.

Let's watch further. It turns out that the one who mentioned the shuravi was asked at the Russian border whether he had a license to transport passengers. – Why a license if he doesn’t drive anyone, and these are just acquaintances. For some reason they didn’t believe him, but at the same time they let him through.

The second began to teach the young man that there is no need to be nervous, that Tatars do not quarrel with anyone, live calmly and are not interested in politics. With this they said goodbye, and it so happened that the first one was taking me and three other Ukrainian “tourists” to Crimea.

The summer season has passed, and until yesterday there were practically no queues at Chongar. Even the trucks were not particularly delayed, which looked surprising against the backdrop of the upcoming blockade of the peninsula proclaimed by the Majlis. Due to the decline in the flow of people, Ukrainian border guards began to work slowly, checking documents more carefully and increasingly catching Donetsk people.

Where are you coming from? – From Donetsk via Kuban. – Why not through Ukrainian posts? - It’s war, it just happened that way... - Who’s to blame for you for shouting about Donbass-Donbass?! Here you sit...

Looking at the interrogation of the Donetsk people, my taxi driver says that for those who traveled through Russia, a tariff applies - from 300 bucks for one and, please, the road is open. But personally, he is now worried about another problem: only at the last Ukrainian post through Chongar did the shift change.

“They recently came up with the idea of handing out summonses to the army on the bridge!” And if you received the summons and signed, then that’s it! There is no turning back! but you can slip through if there’s another shift...

The story is this... Having received the summons, the young man immediately moved to Crimea, where his dad gave him a car. The family, it turns out, suffered during the Russian Spring, and the uncle, who did not support the Maidan, is to blame for everything. My uncle kept the Chongar hotel, which, with the departure of Russian border guards to the administrative border line, went to Ukraine. And since then, all the relatives have been scolding my uncle for that mistake.

In this particular case, I will make one personal observation with which you may not agree. The leaders of a small nation with a great claim to their statehood will forever scold the one who saved their fellow tribesmen from war, while supporting those who hand out summonses to the military registration and enlistment office and send them to slaughter. And the point here is not only in the subtle oriental business, but in the search for cheap profit.

So, the vast majority of Novoalekseevsk taxi drivers are Crimean Tatars, who charge exorbitant sums for travel through Chongar. They are a monopoly here. The business is built vertically. Already on the train, a woman approaches you and offers to book a seat in a taxi. Then they meet you and take you to the damned border, which in a year and a half has become a profitable place.

However, this was not enough for the Majlis mafia, and now the so-called blockade has begun. And it will take place according to the scheme that Ukrainian customs worked out a year ago: first, they will gather queues for the hype, then they will include a high tariff, or, under the cover of Dzhemilev and Chubarov, they will offer their services.
