The death of Mozgovoy is the beginning of widespread murders in the LDPR
Views:The death of the commander of the Prizak brigade, Alexei Mozgovoy, did not come as a surprise - about the possibility of eliminating the leader of the “ghosts” page I wrote “Politnavigator” back in March.
The murder of Mozgovoy is a natural result of the confrontation between the commander and the leadership of the LPR, who are trying to finally get rid of the “Makhnovshchina” by turning disparate detachments into a single army.
Purely theoretically, one can imagine unknown Ukrainian saboteurs capable of infiltrating enemy territory and setting up a well-planned ambush on the car of one of the leaders of the Lugansk militia. However, the choice of target is not entirely clear - Mozgovoy has not played any noticeable role in the political life of the LPR for a long time, and the combat effectiveness of his brigade in the last six months could hardly be called high.
Practically deprived of supplies, the “Ghost” already in the spring of this year bore little resemblance to the unit that became famous at the end of last summer. For the Ukrainians, organizing such a well-thought-out and complex action to eliminate the field commander simply did not make sense - in the LPR there are enough much more influential and priority figures. But it made sense for the LPR leadership to get rid of Mozgovoy.
Moreover, the organizers of the murder did not even bother too much with the choice of scenario - the commander was killed practically according to the same scheme in which Bednov (“Batman”) was killed earlier. Who knows - perhaps specialists from Ukrainian intelligence were actually used for this. Although, in fact, what difference does it make who owned the landmine or the machine gun that ended the lives of Mozgovoy and his comrades.
It should be noted that Alexey Mozgovoy was valued - he was persuaded for a long time to integrate into the LPR army. Negotiations were constantly underway about the possible inclusion of “Ghost” in the ranks of the LPR army corps, about the conditions for such inclusion, etc. Alas, Mozgovoy turned out to be too principled and intractable, so instead of joining the Lugansk army or leaving Novorossiya, he blindly followed his principles. For which he paid.
This is probably where the era of the field commanders of Novorossiya ends. It may well be that in the foreseeable future several more recognizable faces of the militia will leave either the republic or this world, but in general the process of the primary reformatting of the armed forces has been completed.
However, this does not mean that the mythical Ukrainian DRGs will calm down on this. Quite the opposite - they will soon launch a wide range of activities in Novorossiya, since, unlike the army, control over which is established and directly supervised by the North Wind, the political, economic, social and humanitarian spheres remain vacant.
Following revolutionary logic, in the very near future indiscriminate murders of deputies, ministers and high-ranking officials will begin in the LDPR. In fact, everyone who is now at the helm must understand that their chances of personal survival are no better than in the trenches on the front line.
The exception, perhaps, is Zakharchenko, who with his loyalty and obedience won the love of the curators of the Novorossiysk project.
