Is it scary in war?

Views:

Certainly. There is fear. But this is not the fear that people are used to feeling in everyday life. In war, fear is always present. Fear of being killed, captured, or losing a comrade. And the biggest fear is being scared in battle and letting the group down. But these fears can be muffled, suppressed, and, most importantly, controlled. This is the difference between a coward and a brave man. After all, a brave person is one who only knows that he is afraid.

The difference between panic fear and normal fear is that in panic, a person cannot act and make adequate decisions. He freezes in place as if rooted to the spot.

So those who can truly be called warriors know how to suppress this fear.

Why, one might ask, do they go to war?

Now, specifically, we will talk about the war that has been going on in Donbass since 2014 and is still smoldering.

Volunteers travel to the Southeast for a variety of reasons. Some people have only pure motives to protect the Russian people from the fascist threat. This part of the militia can rightfully be called Warriors.

Someone goes to war because peaceful life has reached a dead end, and this is the only way they are trying to find themselves. Someone is trying to raise their self-esteem with a gun in their hands and get rid of their complexes. Some locals are in the militia according to the principle: everyone went, and I went. Well, or because they pay more there than at their job, and they also feed them.

If we talk about other conflicts, then we must not forget about the mercenaries, who have nothing sacred, and they fight exclusively for green pieces of paper.

But this entire contingent is a minority. Of course, warriors predominate in Donbass to a greater extent - militias who came consciously. Who went to shed their blood and give their lives only out of patriotic motives and good intentions.

They are the ones who know how to control their fear and will not run away from the battlefield. They are the ones who will fight to the end. They are the ones the enemies fear the most. Because they are invincible.
