ATO participant is bitten by the new, dog-like life

I believe that it is no longer inconvenient to remind Poroshenko that he promised a thousand hryvnia salary per day to an ATO participant. As well as about Kolomoisky’s promise, inscribed on a billboard, to pay 10 hryvnia for a caught “Russian terrorist.” This is now an inconvenient topic, although among the adherents and cultists of the Maidan, Poroshenko himself is already inconvenient. For they expect victories from the leader, but he brings only defeats. His “promises” are firmly entrenched in folklore as a symbol of lies and deception. However, the obvious lie that every supporter of the junta voices every day is a necessary measure. What should I tell them if everything they believe in is an illusion?

For example, they believe that their army is real. This is wrong. Their army is even worse than it was at the end of the USSR and during the period of chaos and collapse. The Ukrainian Army is a very diverse company, consisting of career military personnel, conscripts, conscripts and volunteers. There are “territorial partisans”. There are registered PR battalions - on the payroll of the one who pays. There are different types of troops. And every feature makes the military unit special. That is, subordinate to various commanders and departments. There is also the rear work of the junta, aimed at trying to protect itself from the “era of soldier presidents”, from a coup and inevitable death.

If the actions of this motley crowd brought victories, then, I believe, there would be less fear. But when an army suffers defeats, questions and thoughts are inevitable. Actions come with them. The truce did not bring peace. Today's battles at Shirokino are further evidence of this. War may break out again. Alas, Ukrainian society does not even allow the thought that this is a defeat and not a respite for a decisive blow. Ukrainian society wants war to a victorious end.

But they don't know what it takes to win. And the solution is simple. Supply. It is this that comes in second place after unity of command and the power pyramid. Of course, war requires a just goal. But the junta does not have it, and does not expect it. There is no unity of command, as I have already shown. Rough but true. Supplies remain. In principle, it is still possible to win this war with uninterrupted supply. Why? Because the junta has inexhaustible human reserves with which it will cover up any losses. She’s already shut up, she’s already shown exactly how she feels about “cannon fodder.” There are a lot of people, and so far they are well motivated by a false sense of duty to the Motherland and all-out support for the home front. Although this support is mainly moral.

What about supplies? He's gone. Near Ilovaisk, Zelenopole, and Debaltsevo, we always heard the same thing from army men in trouble: we have nothing, but the “separatists” have everything. It is absolutely clear that the militia does not have everything. In total, the VSN has much less than the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But the absolute truth is the fact that, having received a summons and coming to the military registration and enlistment office, a citizen of Ukraine receives pants, a belt and a machine gun from the junta. The rest is up to you. We must forget about all the experience of the Soviet Army. He's gone. Reading the posts of ATO participants, I remember the key and stereotypical phrase: “if it weren’t for the volunteers, we would have eaten each other.”

Thus, I lead you to the fact that the Ukrainian army is supplied not by services, but by volunteers. It would be more correct to call them sutlers. Because volunteers have long and firmly, once in business (this is a business), are increasingly penetrating the army, making Ukrainian soldiers participants in their turnover. This is feudalism and the Middle Ages. The Thirty Years' War or the War of the Spanish Succession - here is the clearest example, a model. It’s as if it was written from our time!

Volunteers - in order to understand how profitable this is, I suggest you pay attention to the fact that not a single journalist has yet made a single loud exposure of their activities. Does this mean that all volunteers are honest?

No. Vice versa. People who transport, purchase and sell free goods cannot be honest, alas. Freebies are a huge temptation, and few can resist it. Imagine. You are a freight forwarder. You have a convoy of five cars. The cars are filled with a wide variety of belongings. From night vision devices to diapers and women's stockings. Yes, women's stockings and tights protect men's genitals from frostbite much better than newspapers! And you are the master of it all. And you didn't pay a penny for it!

The evisceration of convoys begins at checkpoints. Quite recently, one of the fighters of the “partisan” terrorist defense battalion, Kyiv-2, told how the battalion commander set up a business at his checkpoint, “patronizing” humanitarian aid. And at the same time selling hostages. There are many such examples. The main reason for banditry and criminality at the front is the lack of supplies, inactive combat operations, and the very different motivations of those who stand on a given section of the front. The Krivbass battalion was also seen trafficking in hostages, and the Facebook science fiction writer Kostya Grishin, in his own words, expelled 120 looters from the Donbass battalion. And the word Aidar became a household name, a symbol of looting and banditry at the front.

The mechanics of the process are as simple as the corner of a house: if the state does not supply its army enough, then the soldiers, having weapons and being on the territory of an insurgent region inhabited by “terrorists”, uncontrolled by anyone and unpunished, these soldiers will take for themselves whatever they want. The scale of the punitive looting is such that the press is beginning to see articles with photographs of how “ATO heroes” are going on leave, with gold chains, wedding rings and pockets stuffed with them.

They consider houses and apartments abandoned by refugees to be their legitimate target and prey. For an army, if it does not have serious tasks and the desire to carry them out, turns into a crowd of marauders and bandits. And the murderers, of course, have weapons. In Debaltsevo, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine kicked the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of there, the locals who rose from the cellars to make a call were shot as spotters for the DPR army.

Knowing about the atrocities of punitive forces in the Donbass, I cannot sympathize with the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who complain that they have not been paid for a long time (as promised) for a damaged “Russian” tank, for example.

I don’t know about you, but I shuddered when I learned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are so self-supporting. It is natural that soldiers and officers think not about war, but about money. About how much and who will pay them, what they will receive after the “victory”, and in general they are busy thinking and talking about business. For example, sitting on the front end, they argue about how to prove that you were in the ATO. After all, the military registration and enlistment office also has a list waiting for you. List for recognition as a participant in the war. I am sure that issuing such papers is also a business. But this is only the business of the rear, not the front. It’s gratifying that at least something unites the rear and the front...
