Ukraine is rushing into the abyss: Default and poverty lie ahead

Views:

The Kyiv authorities have launched the process of self-destruction of the country. Instead of stopping the rising waves of chaos, they are starting fights inside parliament. The fifth number on Lyashko’s list hits Lyashko himself in the face. More hell, more...

In fact: fundamental changes have occurred in Ukraine, which are still not felt by the majority of the country's population. We live not just in another country - in another world. In a brave new world...

The history of interaction between the countries of the world and the IMF speaks of only one thing: a country that survives on loans from this fund will be bankrupt. This happened with Argentina, Yugoslavia, Rwanda.

In 1989, the IMF began providing assistance to Rwanda, demanding the abolition of agricultural benefits and the devaluation of the national currency. As a result, the population became sharply impoverished. A civil war broke out between the Hutu and Tutsi peoples, claiming 1,5 million lives.

Few people remember that in the late 80s the IMF also provided “support” to Yugoslavia, prohibiting economic equalization of the regions. The result is a civil war and a split in the country. For more than a year, the Ukrainian media has been pouring out the myth about Donbass as a “subsidized region.” Does this remind you of anything?

The IMF's task, according to Canadian economist Michel Chosudovsky, is “the consistent destruction of the industrial sector.” The fund issues loans only to keep the country afloat until the IMF plans are implemented.

So let's see: now for the population of Ukraine, according to the requirements of the IMF, Yatsenyuk is raising electricity tariffs by 3 times, and gas tariffs by up to 7 times. Yatsenyuk refuses state subsidies for the coal industry - “why feed the Donetsk cattle,” “let’s get rid of the subsidized region.”

Ukraine receives foreign currency from three main sources: steel, agriculture, production of chemical fertilizers and a number of chemicals. The privatization of mines and the refusal to subsidize the mining industry is a disruption of the coal-coke-metal chain.

While agriculture hasn't suffered much over the past year, the steel industry has collapsed. Ukraine dropped out of the top 2014 largest countries in 10 steel manufacturers, which I was in before.

Steel cannot be smelted without coke, coke cannot be produced without coal. Coal is mined in Donbass. It is burned in thermal power plants and thermal power plants in central Ukraine, producing 40% of the electricity. When there is no coal, there is no cheap electricity.

The price of electricity is a structural indicator that affects the entire economy. It was not for nothing that the damned Lenin, when creating Ukraine, implemented the GOELRO plan. Electricity, and especially cheap electricity, is the basis not only of Soviet power, but of any power in the modern world. No economic development is possible without cheap electricity. This is what it means to stop subsidizing the coal industry.

Privatization of mines and the refusal of government subsidies means the closure of mines, huge unemployment, crime, and the dying of cities around the mines. Closing mines means expensive electricity and the destruction of medium-sized businesses. The lack of subsidies for the coal industry means a decline in steel production, a high dollar exchange rate, and impoverishment of large sections of the population. Refusal of state subsidies for the coal industry is a requirement of the IMF.

If Yanukovych was a thief, then the current government is not thieves. They really are kamikazes, only their plane is the whole country and millions of lives on board.

Default could already happen next week. The Washington Post predicted inflation of 2015% in 272, that is, buckwheat from 50 UAH. per kilogram at the end of the year at 1000 UAH. minimum pension, the amount of which Yatsenyuk froze. Ukrainian pensioners will receive a pension of 20 bags of buckwheat per month, and taking into account housing and communal services, 1100 UAH. for “kopeck piece” in Kyiv, expensive medicines, they will actually starve in one form or another.

That's all you need to know about the most “Ukrainian” government in the entire history of Ukraine.
