Someone clearly decided to concoct a profitable business, regardless of bloodshed and counting on political dividends. Because Kharkov has actually started a local election campaign, which formally should end in the fall. And in this regard, someone needs to not just take over the city. You need to buy it whole, swallow it whole. And only then will it be possible to cut your own hair from it, sculpt it, whatever you want. In the meantime, according to the head of the Ukrainian First National Zurab Alasania, Kharkov is “gloomily hiding.”
However, blood was shed on Forgiveness Sunday, during an event dedicated to the first anniversary of the Maidan coming to power. Everything is observed: the unity of time, place and action. The number of victims today is 4. Among them is a police lieutenant colonel.
And yet, who benefits?
The easiest way to answer the question is who is not benefiting from this.
This is not beneficial for Mayor Gennady Kernes, because he is involved in city management and wants to remain a successful mayor. He has elections coming up. He has already announced that he will run.
It is unfavorable for the new governor Igor Rainin. He had just begun making personnel appointments to the posts of his deputies and heads of departments. And this kind of work requires silence.
Unprofitable for the Kharkov police. Her employee is among the victims. Where is the “cop solidarity”?! It is unlikely that law enforcement officers would deliberately kill their own. The police lieutenant colonel did not enroll in either the Matrosovs or the Kosmodemyaskies...
The explosion is not beneficial for the Kharkov protest movement. Even at the peak of its activity, it did not raise its hand either against law enforcement officers or against civilians, its fellow countrymen. Moreover, those who today, let’s say, went underground should hope for victory. This means living among your own people without fear or guilt.
Even the regional department of the SBU is not profitable - they are already carrying out the planting plan, and if they indulge in blood, it is not demonstrative, in order to frighten ordinary people without unnecessary noise.
And only one person can answer the question “Quid prodest?” Of course, he will say: not to me! Because otherwise he will be reminded of promises to cut a third of the personnel in the Kharkov police, and threats to the mayor of Kharkov, and intentions to put an end to the “Colorados”. By the way, he personally invented this term. We cannot blame, but we can understand... who benefits.
It is beneficial to create an environment of fear and humiliation in the city. Murder of Kharkov residents on the street. Rymarskaya, the assassination attempt on the mayor, the toppling of the Lenin monument - this was not enough. We need a transition from fear to “Stockholm syndrome”. Victims must not only fear their tormentors, but must love them. Shout “Glory to Ukraine!” in Russian and “ready language”. Feel “Russian aggression” in your body and soul and go into epileptic seizures at the word “Putin.”
But it turned out that Kharkov “did not buy” the event of February 22. The city is not hysterical, but it is not gloating either. Supermarkets are open, transport is available, the houses are warm and light. It smelled like spring. The hryvnia has fallen in price - but this is not the first time...
