I saw people I knew turn into weak-minded, violent ghouls. These people anathematized me, demanded that I be arrested, called with threats, and published my phone number and home address in official sources. Finally, they asked that self-defense centurions come to me (address attached) and carry out explanatory work with me. These are the harsh everyday life of Kyiv dissident journalists. Not very comfortable, not at all monetary, but absolute freedom of speech. Another thing is, how many people hear an alternative point of view? Not from Russia. From Ukraine. From the inside.

In theory, if the Russian media were enemies of Ukraine and Ukrainophobes, then it is logical to ask: why ban, interrupt the broadcasting of Russian TV, if they are such demons? Or like this: are they demons or are our people some kind of shaky people? But, you must admit: no one, looking at a pile of feces, will scream: oh, what a beauty! They will watch, spit and be filled with the energy of resistance, turning on the protective mechanisms of the psyche.

But these new guys are somehow the same as the old ones: they decide for themselves what the people need and what they don’t. They don't trust the people, I would say! Well, are officials really any different? But in this comedy, the bureaucratic snout dresses up in national costume. Divides into “titular” and “national” people. They “protect” from the pernicious influence of “Russian propaganda,” just as Katka Furtseva and Comrade Suslov protected Soviet people from the Beatles in their time. But the effect turned out to be the opposite: Soviet youth not only calmly listened to the Beatles on the radio and imported recordings. But in this process it also gave birth to capitalism, the influence of which Comrade Suslov was so afraid of: in the process of searching for records, private trade and other commerce prohibited by the “scoop” were used with might and main.

Absolutely the same thing happened with the maydauns, who became an evil ruler. Over the course of a year, the scoop fighters became the scoop fighters. They officially demand the introduction of censorship against non-Maydown journalists, they ban Russian TV. They are buying internationally recognized films, burning books like fascists, and even want to censor Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol!

Yes Yes! The movie “Taras Bulba” is banned as “Moscow propaganda.” But. The people who remain people calmly watch Russian TV. For this is why the Lord gave us a “plate” that doesn’t care what it broadcasts. She doesn't even know languages! In addition, interest in banned films has increased sharply. And not only the owners of the “plate” can watch them. But so does any Internet user. And file sharing forums confirm an increase in downloads or at least visits. Because a ban is the best advertisement.

Thus, characterizing the anniversary of censorship in the media and the complete absence of freedom of speech, I will only say that there is no Min-Stets, no armchair information army of Old Man Stytska, no Gerashchenko, the builder of portals for informers - the Peacemaker. No grant eaters, like Telekritika, Hromadsky TV, Ukrainian Pravda. Not one of them will be able to do one thing: kiss me on those lips with which I do not speak Ukrainian. Let them ban what they want!
