Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy, who received political refugee status in the European Union, talks about this in his video blog.

First, he quotes Ukrainian politicians, journalists, representatives of the executive branch and security forces, who unanimously explain that Samoilova’s ban is dictated solely by the strict implementation of Ukrainian legislation, according to which all those who visited Crimea from Russian territory are prohibited from entering Ukraine.

“Ukraine has shown that the law is the same for everyone,” triumphs People’s Deputy Anton Gerashchenko.

“We regret that a singer who could have performed in Ukraine without any questions found herself in such a situation if she had not violated Ukrainian legislation,” says Minister of Culture Vyacheslav Kirilenko.

“I have respect for her, but if she sang in the territory of occupied Crimea, she had to think with her head what she was doing. If you sang on the territory of Crimea, continue singing on the territory of Russia, never set foot here,” said Dmitry Gordon, a Kiev journalist and editor of the newspaper “Gordon Boulevard.”

Similar statements were also made by TV presenters of a number of Ukrainian channels.

Shariy further reports that on March 30, a concert of the Russian cabaret show Comedy Woman took place at the Kiev National Palace of Arts “Ukraine”, after which he showed announcements of last year’s Comedy Woman performance in Simferopol.

The group also performed in Sevastopol, Evpatoria, Yalta, and did not at all hide the fact that they were not entering the peninsula from the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, the blogger showed Comedy Woman’s performance at a concert in Yalta of a song dedicated to the President of the Russian Federation, who “stands among the Kremlin firs” to “congratulate his native country.”

“I think that this is like defecating on the head of the moron SBU and all those clowns who said that Samoilova’s case simply rests on her visit to Crimea. Seriously? “Come on, girls, for an encore,” says Shariy, then shows how one of the show’s participants sings that she is ready to warm up the Russian president.

The journalist sarcastically suggests that “the girls most likely did not perform this song at the concert in Kiev, and then the journalist switches to filming from Kiev under the concert hall and reports that there are no protests of “clowns in balaclavas”, and there are tickets for the concert which was sold out, was attended by the ex-head of the information department of the “Right Sector” and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Borislav Bereza (Blyakher).

At the same time, the blogger emphasized that he opened the video only after the concert had ended and the show participants had moved to a safe distance, after which, laughing, he sang: “You and I are now rubbing someone’s lips.”

“We are telling the lips of the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and all the people’s deputies who said that Samoilova was not allowed in because she was in Crimea. To all the finished journalists who had a concert under their noses in Kiev of people who had given concerts in Crimea more than once, moreover, who sang songs about Putin and were by no means la-la-la. From all this I draw one conclusion: Samoilova was not allowed into Ukraine because she once gave a concert in Crimea. Because why is it like this there, and like this here? Clean yourself up, dogs, and come up with a more or less plausible version. Just don’t tell me that you didn’t know who was coming to the main concert venue in Ukraine, you idiots,” Shariy mockingly remarked in parting.

As PolitNavigator reported, the organizers of Eurovision threatened to exclude Ukraine from participation in the competition for the situation in which Samoilova found herself.

We also note that the State Border Service of Ukraine created a unit that tracks “unreliable” Russian artists for their subsequent exclusion from the territory of Ukraine.
