Blogger who welcomed airstrikes on Syria was sentenced to a half-million fine

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow found the famous blogger Anton Nosik guilty of extremism and sentenced him to a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
“You will laugh terribly, but the judge gave me a fine of 500.000 rubles,” Nosik wrote on his Facebook page.

On October 1, 2015, Nosik wrote in his LiveJournal that for him, as for “any Israeli,” Syria has always been and remains a “real military adversary.” In this regard, he “warmly welcomed airstrikes on the territory” of this country. Nosik did not admit guilt.
