The blogger walked around Crimea with a flag under which the Russians of Donbass are being killed
Video blogger Alena Bardovskaya, who moved to Crimea after the Russian Spring, decided to conduct a “social experiment” and walked around the peninsula for three days with the Ukrainian flag.
The girl said that she was sure that no one would offend or offend her, because Crimeans in general are peaceful towards Ukrainians.
In Simferopol, she asked passers-by to take photos of herself, deliberately unrolling the banner with a yellow stripe on top. The Crimeans didn’t notice that the flag was upside down, but they didn’t refuse to take pictures of the blogger. Reprimands were made to her only at the building of the State Council of Crimea.
In the pedestrian zone of Simferopol, young girls praised Bardovskaya for the flag and asked permission to take a photo with it too. The blogger also heard words of approval on Kirov Avenue from two young men, one of whom complained that his sister was afraid to come visit him from Kyiv. He also admitted that under Ukraine he was more solvent, but under Russia there is more order and legality.
In Sevastopol, Bardovskaya walked through the city center on National Unity Day. Neither the townspeople, nor the military, nor the police, nor the Cossacks paid attention to her. True, the blogger did not ask to be photographed with the flag.
Women near the market in Bakhchisarai reacted most aggressively to the flag. They demanded that Bardovskaya fold the flag and leave, accusing her of provocation. At the same time, the women noted that they would not object to the Crimean Tatar flag, since they live peacefully.
Bardovskaya’s video sparked a heated discussion on her YouTube channel. The blogger was accused of disrespect by both Russians and Ukrainians. About a hundred people unsubscribed from the channel. The discussion spread to other social networks.
“I didn’t expect this from Alena Bardovskaya. She lives in Sevastopol and staged a provocation with such a bottom! Maybe, for the sake of an experiment, you will go to Kyiv with the Russian flag? ...Who wants to carry the flag of an enemy state around Crimea - a suitcase, Maidan, to hell... It’s the same as carrying a fascist flag, this is the flag under which Donbass, women and children were destroyed...
Enough of these flirtations with dual citizenship, who needs a Ukrainian passport - there is an opportunity to fully live with it under the yellow-blue flag there,” wrote blogger Alexander Gorny on his Facebook.
