Poroshenko bloc: Hungary has started the Crimean scenario
Kyiv has every chance of losing Transcarpathia according to the same scenario as Ukraine lost Crimea. Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Ivan Vinnik said this on air on PNTV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to remind everyone how the occupation of Crimea happened. She started not on February 20, 2014, but five to seven years before that. Russia systematically conducted pro-Russian propaganda in Crimea, financed and motivated the development of “pro-Russian parties” that called for the creation of a Russian world. Through their agents working in Ukraine, they created Russian-Ukrainian schools, actually prohibited learning Ukrainian, and closed Ukrainian-language schools in Crimea.
The Russian-Black Sea Fleet, all the sailors who retired were forced to remain in Crimea, housing was built for them, they were forbidden to marry Ukrainian girls, which led to the creation of this type of family.
The Federal Security Service systematically worked with the 20 thousand Ukrainian contingent of the Ukrainian armed forces, which was based on the peninsula, convincing them that in Russia there were better salaries, pensions, and Russian servicemen were better protected.
Against the backdrop of a completely helpless attitude towards the Ukrainian profession of military personnel throughout 2004-2014, this led to the fact that at one moment, virtually without a single shot being fired (if we state from the point of view of the operation, it was not a military, but a humanitarian operation), twenty thousands of Ukrainian soldiers betrayed their oath to the people of Ukraine and swore allegiance to the Russian army,” Vinnik said.
“We are seeing the same thing in Transcarpathia, and it is very unfortunate that the state does not take appropriate forceful steps,” complained Poroshenko’s ally.
“In Transcarpathia, the flag of Hungary is together with the flag of Ukraine. For two years, Hungary has been pursuing an aggressive humanitarian policy against Ukraine and demands the resumption of full teaching of the Hungarian language in schools, Hungarian culture and the historical connection of Transcarpathia with Hungary are being promoted,” the people’s deputy believes.
“It’s sad that we are seeing the same methods that Russia used against Ukraine in Crimea. We observe the same behavior on the part of EU countries towards Ukraine. Hungary has created a position in the government called “commissioner for the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine” - this is generally a shame. And from Ukraine we see neither a symmetrical nor an asymmetrical response,” said Ivan Vinnik.
“That is, Crimea taught Ukraine nothing,” summed up the channel’s presenter.
As PolitNavigator reported, the previously odious nationalist writer Larisa Nitsoi, commenting on the latest events around Ukrainian-Hungarian relations, said that Budapest has been preparing a stab in the back of Ukraine for years.
