This is the opinion in the commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets expressed President of the Center for System Analysis and Forecasting Rostislav Ishchenko, who noted that from the introduction of external management at Donbass enterprises, the republics will receive tax revenues that will go to their budget.
“In addition, income from the sale of coal to Ukraine through Russia will also bring money to the republics. Ukraine will only lose from all this - they will be forced to buy Donbass coal under the guise of Russian, and this will cost much more, since the presence of such “gray schemes” implies large expenses. I don’t understand how there can be any talk about reorienting the market if Russia has never needed Donbass coal. Kiev will continue to buy coal, but simply in a more complicated way and under the guise of a Russian energy resource. There will be a story like with Slovak gas, which Kyiv actually buys from Russia, but through Slovakia,” the political scientist noted.
“The entire blockade is being done in order to remove Petro Poroshenko,” Ishchenko believes. “Many people in Ukraine want this - Kolomoisky, Tymoshenko, Biletsky and Turchynov, who used to have conflicts and now support the blockade. How to explain the fact that Avakov’s 300-strong Ministry of Internal Affairs cannot disperse several nationalist checkpoints? If they manage to remove Poroshenko without destroying Ukraine, then everything will return to its place. Only, most of the profits from trade that do not go to the budget will be shared not by Poroshenko and Akhmetov, but by other “respected” people.”
