This was announced by the Chairman of the Lugansk Regional State Administration Gennady Moskal.
“Bus and freight connections with the LPR in the Lugansk region are completely closed from today. They are not allowed in one direction or the other,” he said.
In the Donetsk region, according to him, such traffic is not blocked - buses and trucks travel through Debaltseve.
The leadership of the LPR confirmed Moskal’s information. “Starting this morning, the Ukrainian side has closed the passage of passenger buses from the LPR in the direction of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Stanitsa Luganskaya. At the moment, there is information about two flights that departed from Lugansk and were forced to return,” said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Transport and Communications of the LPR Andrei Kogut.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kyiv previously interrupted train and bus connections with Crimea. The Ukrainian authorities also limited the movement of regular transport between territories controlled by Ukraine and areas controlled by the LPR and DPR. In addition, a system of issuing passes for movement through checkpoints is being introduced.
